Angela Romano, a resident of Bensalem, will now miss the familiar sound of her nephew, Peter Romano, knocking on her door. Peter was known for his visits to his aunt's house in search of a homecooked meal and the company of his cousin. The last time Angela hugged Peter was just a few weeks ago when he came over after school to spend time with his second cousin, Anthony. They played video games, ate, and enjoyed each other's company.
Peter was part of a close-knit Italian family, which included his parents, siblings, numerous cousins, uncles, and grandparents. Angela's house was often the hangout spot for Peter and his cousins. They would swim in her pool during the summer, play basketball, explore the nearby woods, and ride bikes around the neighborhood. Peter was always full of energy and brought joy to those around him.
However, Angela will no longer enjoy opening her door to find Peter on the other side. On Halloween night, the 14-year-old was tragically shot and killed along with two other teens in a crowded parking lot in Bensalem. The senseless act has left his family devastated.

The Bensalem Public Safety Director, William McVey, expressed his condolences, stating that no one should ever be a victim of gun violence, especially a 14-year-old. Initially, police did not name any suspects, but an update on Friday revealed that a person of interest in Peter's killing was found dead. The news brought some relief to Angela and her family, as they feared the possibility of further violence.
In the wake of Peter's death, the community has come together to support his family. A vigil was held, and a GoFundMe page was created to help with funeral expenses. The outpouring of love and support from the community has been overwhelming.
Peter's cousins, Sophia and Lorena, spoke fondly of him, emphasizing his humor and kindness. They will miss the summers spent together swimming in the pool and creating memories. Angela expressed that Peter will always be remembered and cherished in their hearts.
Peter's funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7th, when family and friends will gather to pay their respects. The community keeps Peter's memory alive as they support his grieving family during this difficult time.
