Injury Update : Wisconsin Badgers' Running Back Braelon Allen and Wide Receiver Chimere Dike Injured, Uncertain for Game against Indiana

The Wisconsin Badgers (5-3) are set to face off against the Indiana Hoosiers (2-6) this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT.

The Badgers have a strong track record in Bloomington, winning their last five games by an average margin of 29.8 points. They hold a commanding lead in the all-time series with 41 wins compared to Indiana's 19.

November has historically been a successful month for the Badgers. Since the Big Ten split into its current format, they have achieved a 27-7 record during November. Their defense has consistently been a force, allowing the fewest points in the conference in four out of the past nine years.

However, the Badgers may face challenges in their upcoming game against Indiana. Running back Braelon Allen and wide receiver Chimere Dike are uncertain to play due to lower leg injuries sustained during the Ohio State game.

Allen has been a standout performer this season, leading the conference in rushing yards with an average of 94.3 per game. He also boasts a strong yards-per-rush average of 5.8. Against Illinois, Allen had an impressive 145 rushing yards, with 112 of those yards gained after contact.

In the absence of Allen and Dike, redshirt freshman quarterback Braedyn Locke will need to step up. Locke made his second collegiate start against Ohio State, completing 18 out of 39 passes for 165 yards.

Wide receiver Will Pauling has been a reliable target for the Badgers' quarterbacks, leading the team with 41 catches for 449 yards this season. Pauling has excelled on third downs, with the most third-down catches in the Big Ten and second among Power Five receivers.

Defensively, the Badgers have been solid, recording ten interceptions this season, tying them for the second-most in the conference. They also boast a robust average of allowing just 19 points per game. In their recent game against Ohio State, they pressured the quarterback effectively, securing four sacks, the most allowed by Ohio State all season.

A victory against Indiana would make the Badgers bowl-eligible, extending their streak of consecutive bowl games to 22, the third longest active streak in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).
